What & How We Treat
Muscle Tension & and Tightness
We can use various techniques such as massage, stretching exercises, and manual therapy to relieve muscle tension and tightness – particularly in the neck and shoulder areas.
Disc Pathology
For headaches related to disc pathology, we may use targeted exercises to improve spine mobility and stability, posture correction, and manual techniques to alleviate pressure on the affected discs.
Restricted Neck Motion
We may employ joint mobilizations and soft tissue techniques to address stiffness and restrictions in the neck. Specific exercises and stretches can also be helpful.
Poor Posture
Posture can play a significant role in causing headaches. We can assess and correct posture issues through exercises and ergonomic recommendations, helping to alleviate strain on the neck and shoulders.
Tightness in the Upper Back
Tightness in the upper back, especially between the shoulder blades, can contribute to headaches. We can use stretching and strengthening exercises to address this and also improve overall upper back mobility.
Patient Education
We can educate you on lifestyle modifications, ergonomics, and self-management strategies to prevent and manage headaches. This may include guidance on proper body mechanics, relaxation techniques, and exercises you can do at home.
